"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belonds to such as these," Matthew 19:14, New International Version.
"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it," Proverbs 22:6 New International Version.
an interactive children's church for ages 4-12 held downstairs during the Pastor's sermon. Teachers and helpers teach biblical principles in new and exciting ways. Bible stories have been portrayed as the children have used costumes to act out the story through drama. One particular morning, our farm porch was transformed into the furnace where Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown because they wouldn't bow down to a foreign God. Various science experiments, games and props have been used to help the children grow not only in the knowledge of the Lord, but also through the experience of God's love. The children have created get-well cards and crafted cards to send in a care package overseas to our soldiers. The care package included soccer balls and lollipops that were happily delivered to local children. Our children heard firsthand from one of our own soldiers how the care-package touched the lives of those who received it.
The Nursery Sunday School Class is provided for those toddlers of walking age up to 3-years olds. This class provides a low-key, simplistic introduction to the Bible. The teachers introduce Bible stories, Biblical characters, and songs in a way that the little ones can become familiar with the Word of God. We offer a short story, simple craft, snack time, and free play time in a fun and safe environment. We believe that we can impress upon these little minds basic Bible principles and values that will be the seed of a fruitful life in Christ.
The Junior High Class has worked through Philippians and is now starting the book of Colossians. In addition to our regular Sunday school hour, we are planning to share in good Christian fellowship by participating in a variety of other activities. Activities include going to the drive-in, miniature golfing, camping, and other youth conferences and activities.
